ours是名词性物主代词, 可以单独使用，在句子中可以作主语、表语、宾语使用。

we, us, our, ours用法

we是主格，只做主语；

us 是宾格，只做宾语，后不加名词；

our是 “我们的”意思，为形容词性物主代词；

ours是名词性物主代词，后不加名词，相当于“our +名词”。

与surprised 有关的用法：

①I’m surprised at the surprising news.

我对这个令人惊讶的消息感到很吃惊。

③He looked at me in surprise.

他惊奇地看着我。

根据例句①可知：surprised 与surprising都是形容词，但surprised通常作表语，用于修饰人，“惊奇于某事”为be surprised at sth.；surprising可以作表语也可以作定语，通常修饰物。

根据例句②可知：surprised的名词是surprise, 短语“令某人惊奇的是”为to one’s surprise, 根据例句③可知：in surprise 意为“惊奇地”。
