第一部分内容：情态动词的用法

表示可能、怀疑、需要、允诺、意愿、义务、猜测等的动词叫情态动词。情态动词有一定的词义，表示说话人的看法和态度，要和不带to的动词不定式(ought，have等除外)一起构成谓语，无人称和数的变化。常用的情态动词主要有：can，could，would, should，may，must，might等。

考点 1 情态动词may/might

考向一 表示许可或征询对方许可。

eg：You may go now. 

现在你可以走了。

May I watch TV after supper?

晚饭后我可以看电视吗？

He said that I might use the telephone.

他说我可以用电话。

注意：征询许可时，might比may更委婉、客气。

肯定回答常用“Yes，of course.”；否定回答常用

“No，you mustn't.”。

eg：Might I have a word with you，please?

请问，我可以和你谈一谈吗？

—May I take the book out of the reading room？

我可以将这本书带出阅览室吗？

—Yes，of course./No，you mustn't.

是的，当然可以。/不，你不能。

英语中的形容词有原级、比较级和最高级三种形式。表示“比……更……一些”的概念时，用比较级；表示“最……”的概念时，用最高级。
