mark v. 标记

mark作动词，意为“打分；做记号，做标记”。

The box of eggs was marked “with Care”. 

装有鸡蛋的这盒子上标了“小心”字样。

【拓展】mark作名词，意为“分数；成绩”，a good mark和a bad／poor mark分别表示“分数高”和“分数低”。

mark作名词还可表示“记号；标记”。

日期表达法

常用的日期的写法有以下几种：

月份+基数词      September 10

月份+序数词      September 10th 

基数词+月份      10 September 

序数词+月份     10th September

【拓展】在具体的日期(某月某日)前用介词on。而在世纪、年份、季节、月份，上午、下午、晚上前用介词in；在某个时间点或年龄前用介词at。

count down 倒计时

She is counting down to the big day；她正在对这个重大日子倒计时。

in need有需要的

in need为固定搭配，意为“有需要的”，其中need为名词，意为“需要”。

A friend in need is a friend indeed. 患难见真情。

There is no need for you to get up early. 你不需要早早起床。
