◆have been doing sth.是现在完成进行时,意为“一直在做某事”,表示从过去某时开始的某个动作或状态一直延续到现在,而且还在进行。常常表示动作的延续性、重复性以及感情色彩等。
◆draw one’s attention意为“吸引某人的注意力”。
2.Here,as many as 230 million butterflies spend the winter.
◆as…as…意为“与……一样……”,两个as之间可加形容词或副词的原级;也可加“many+复数名词”,“much+不可数名词”或“形容词+a/an+单数名词”,还可以在as…as…前加twice,half等词表示前后者倍数或分数关系。as…as的否定形式为not as/so…as…。
◆spend为及物动词,意为“度过,花(钱/时间)”,常用于固定结构:spend time/money(in)doing sth.花费时间/金钱做某事;spend time/money on sth.在某物上花费时间/金钱;spend time with sb.和某人一起度过时光,句子的主语应为人,spend的过去式和过去分词都是spent。
