close up是动词短语，意为“合起来，收拢”。

其反义短语为open up，意为“张开，打开”。

tightly adv.紧紧地；牢固地。tight adj.紧的

2.When it comes to laughing，this tree is really funny. 

“When it comes to…”，意为“当提到，就……而论”。其中to是介词，后面可接名词、代词、动名词，不可接动词原形。

例：When it comes to music，I love pop music best.

就音乐而论，我最喜欢流行音乐。

3. This is because the fruit of this tree has a hole in it.

该句是一个含表语从句的复合句。“This is because…” 句型中，由连词because引导的名词性从句在此作表语， 意为“这就是因为……”。because后接某事产生的原因。

例：He did not go out last night.That is because he had to help his little sister with her homework.

昨天晚上他没有出去， 那是因为他得辅导他的妹妹做作业。

4. If the wind blows，this amazing tree “laughs”.

该句是一个主从复合句。if conj. 如果，假如。它在句中引导条件状语从句。

在含if 引导的条件状语从句的复合句中，if从句的位置灵活，可直接放在主句后面；若if从句放在句首, 从句后面要加逗号和主句隔开。

you warm through many winters.
